Some people have out-of-network benefits through their insurance, and I’m happy to help figure out what kinds of benefits, reimbursements, or authorizations we could use to help you receive care.
EXTRA INFO:
A note here therapy is not typically meant to be an endless arrangement. There are some circumstances in which long-term, regularly occurring, mental health care is necessary.
One can usually sort through the main issue and develop skills to understand, heal, and quell it within a reasonable time frame. This financial commitment won’t be forever, but will serve you heartfully in the long-term.
I VALUE THERAPY BEING ACCESSIBLE TO ALL.
I don’t believe that cost should be a barrier to receiving care.
I’m happy to be able to offer some of my session timeslots at a very low rate, especially if you are able to attend an appointment during more low-demand hours (between 10a-4p).
FAQ
Do you accept insurance?
I am on Cigna’s panel and exclusively accept Cigna insurance. If you do not have Cigna, I am happy to look into your out-of-network insurance benefits, create superbills, and work out a private pay rate that fits your budget. Some folks are able to get reimbursed a certain amount for therapeutic services provided.
How do I get your sliding scale?
Just ask! We will work out your budget.
How do you accept payment?
I am able to accept credit cards, cash, personal checks, and Zelle payment. I have an electronic health record keeping system (SimplePractice) that I pay for. This software securely keeps track of credit card and other patient demographic information that I keep as part of my records. We can work out a payment schedule that works for you if need be.
Why is therapy so expensive?
I try to make my offerings affordable to anyone as best I can. There are business expenses to cover (office rental, being listed places), licensure costs and continuing ed classes over the course of the year, and I’m no longer a newbie to the field! I do have spots for clients who need a sliding scale to receive care. Let’s discuss!
